It's made with coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, cinnamon and rum. This Puerto Rican eggnog is a dreamy concoction that transports you straight to the sunny Caribbean coast with every sip.
So, without further ado, let’s jump right into our Puerto Rican eggnog recipe:
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 2 cans (12 oz each) of evaporated milk
- 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (15 oz) of cream of coconut
- 2 cups of white rum
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Ground nutmeg for garnish
Step 1: Separate egg yolks
Crack the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites. This recipe only calls for egg yolks.
Step 2: Beat egg yolks
In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks until light and creamy.
Step 3: Add condensed milk
Slowly add the condensed milk to the egg yolks while continuing to stir the mixture.
Step 4: Add evaporated milk
Next, add the evaporated milk and continue whisking the mixture until completely combined.
Step 5: Add Rum and Spices
Add rum (if using), vanilla extract, and spices to mixture. Mix well.
Step 6: Chill the Eggnog
Pour the eggnog into a large bottle or jug, refrigerate for at least two hours, and enjoy.
